Each month, Litmus Gallery & Studios offers local artists the opportunity to exhibit their work for a full month in our gallery. We also have juried shows with multiple artists on an ongoing basis. All exhibits at Litmus can be viewed as part of downtown Raleigh’s First Friday ArtWalk, from 6pm to 9pm on the first Friday of each month.
This show is a photographic look at BDSM, kink, fetish, and submission. While those subjects are still mostly considered taboo, the "50 Shades of Gray" books and movies introduced the mainstream world to what many people had been doing behind closed bedroom doors, in basement dungeons, and in kink-friendly clubs for years. This show is a cross between seemingly intimate moments and kinky portraiture.

About the Artist: Tom Taylor has been shooting professionally since 1990. From weddings to sporting events to national musical acts, he was a working photographer for many years. In recent years, however, his focus has been on nudes, erotica, and kink photography. While his work has been displayed in galleries across the United States, this is his first solo photography show.
