Each month, Litmus Gallery & Studios offers local artists the opportunity to exhibit their work for a full month in our gallery. We also have juried shows with multiple artists on an ongoing basis. All exhibits at Litmus can be viewed as part of downtown Raleigh’s First Friday ArtWalk, from 6pm to 9pm on the first Friday of each month.
These four 3-hour sessions are designed to give participants the opportunity to enhance and invigorate their creativity through the study of the nude male and nude female figure. Sessions will allow practice in observing, interpreting, and accurately representing the human torso form. Emphasis will be on using clay to create sculptures that capture the essence of figurative poses/gestures. Individualized instruction will enable each participant, beginners and advanced artists, to work at their own pace. Figurative artists interested in the Realist Art Movement and who work in 2-D and 3-D art forms can benefit from these sessions. The male model will pose Wednesdays, 6:30-9:15 pm, November 14 & 28. The female model will pose Saturdays, 1:30-4:15 pm, November 17 & December 1.
Male Model: 6:30 pm – 9:15 pm, Wednesdays, November 14 & 28.
Female Model: 1:30 pm – 4:15 pm, Saturdays, November 17 & December 1
